To access KENT CamEye and all its features you need to install KENT CamEye App on your mobile and also install the physical device (i.e. CamEye Car) on your car.
Part 1) App Installation & Activation
STEP 1
Search “KENT CamEye” App on Google Play Store or Apple App Store and install it. Alternatively, scan the QR code below and go directly to Google Play Store or Apple App Store, and then install the KENT CamEye App
STEP 2
Sign in directly with your existing Google or Facebook account. Alternatively, click on “Sign Up” to create an account
STEP 3
Click on “Add Device”. Now, activate the CamEye Car by scanning the QR Code on its bottom side or by manually entering the Serial Number(S/N) & Key.
Part 2) CamEye INSTALLATION
KENT CamEye offers non-OBD based plug & play DIY (Do-It-Yourself) installation
Open the packaging box and you will see following items:CamEye Car (1u), Charger(1u), Windshield mount (1u), Cable clips (5u), Nut (1u), USB cable (1u), Pry tool (1u), User manual (1u) , Software license agreement ( 1u), warranty card ( 1u), Stickers (2u).
Step 1 Peel off the protective film from the adhesive side of WINDSHIELD MOUNT
Step 2 Place the WINDSHIELD MOUNT on the front windshield. It is recommended that the WINDSHIELD MOUNT is placed below the rearview mirror, in the center of the windshield.
Step 3 Press the WINDSHIELD MOUNT tightly & push the locking lever up.
Step 4 Unfasten the NUT on the CamEye Car. Push the CamEye Car up until the ball of WINDSHIELD MOUNT snap-fits inside the mounting bracket.
Step 5 Adjust the CamEye Car so that it is perpendicular to the dashboard & suitably captures inside view of the cabin. Then, tighten the NUT fully to secure CamEye Car.
Step 6 Adjust the outside camera angle of CamEye Car for the desired field of view
Step 7 Run the USB CABLE from CamEye Car and tuck it above the lip of the windshield headliner and along the A-pillar. Use the PRY TOOL to lift the edges of the trim and tuck it away in the seams as shown in following steps. The USB cable is intentionally kept 3 m long for this kind of routing. The maximum portion of the cable is hidden from the driver's sight so as not to cause any distraction while driving. You can use 5 cable clips for holding the USB cable which comes with double-sided adhesive tapes. You need to peel off the protective film from the cable clips to fix it on windshield's surface.
Step 8 Connect the micro USB end of the USB CABLE to the Micro USB slot of CamEye Car
Step 9 Connect the cable’s USB end to the CAR CHARGER.
Step 10 Remove the plastic film from the car charger.
Step 11 Plug the CAR CHARGER in the “12V car socket”
